Lloyd E. Ronning

Lloyd E. Ronning, age 75 of Elkhorn, former long time resident of the Delavan Inlet, passed away on March 3, 2011 at his home. He was born on January 14, 1936 in the Town of Taylor, WI, the son of Oscar and Julia (Tollefson) Ronning. After proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957, Lloyd was united in marriage to Eunice Klevgard on Oct. 12, 1957. After the military, he was an ambulance driver in Black River Falls, then later worked at Woodstock Diecasting for almost 30 years. He was a member of the VFW in Delavan and was a volunteer for the Delavan Township Fire Department.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Eunice of Elkhorn; 5 children: John (Grace) Ronning of Hopkinsville, KY, Kirby (Ellen) Ronning of Mesa, AZ, Sherri (Dean) Weeks of Elkhorn, Lisa (Scott) Morgan of Darien, and Robbie (Lavelle) Ronning of Carrollton, TX; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Curtis (Janice) Ronning of Melrose, WI and Donald (Virginia) Ronning of Ettrick, WI; 2 sisters: Mildred Schoolcraft of Black River Falls, WI and Judith Smikrud of Blair, WI; and sister-in-law, Elsie Ronning of Ettrick, WI. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Peggy; brother, Orvis Ronning; and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Monroe Funeral Home, Delavan. Visitation will be from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
