Lois E. Earnest, age 85 of Delavan, WI, passed away Friday August 16, 2013 at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan, WI. She was born on July 14, 1928 in Racine, WI, the daughter of John and Vashti (Shimmins) Nelson. Lois was united in marriage to Calvin Earnest on May 15, 1948 in Delavan and he preceded her in death on October 2, 1960. She was a bookkeeper for Frank"s Muffler Shop in Elkhorn and a home maker. Lois has been attending Triune Lutheran Church. She is survived by her 5 son; Robert (Sandra) Earnest of Sharon, Richard Earnest of Delavan, Randal (Susan) Earnest of Walworth, Ronald (Renee) Earnest of Elkhorn and Craig Earnest of Delavan. 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Joyce Nelson also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Calvin, brother Russ and her sister Arlene.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Wednesday August 21, 2013 at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, WI, with Rev. Dale Blanchard officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am to service time at 11:00am on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.
