DELAVAN – Lois F. (Hanisch) Griffin, age 88, of Delavan passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan. She was born in Chicago on February 12, 1936 to Frank and Olga (Petterec) Hanisch. She graduated from Williams Bay High School. Lois was united in marriage to Gerald “Bud” Griffin on April 21, 1956 and had 4 sons together. She loved being with family and friends and was a very outgoing person and loved by many. Lois worked at Lake Lawn for many years and drove school bus in Delavan. She loved and cherished her pets and was a great gardener.
Lois is survived by her sons, Jerry (Karla) Griffin, of Richland Center, Jeff (Danette) Griffin, of Delavan, and Tim (Tammy) Griffin, of Walworth; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn Desing, of Elkhorn.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud; and a son, Gary.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church, N5690 Cobblestone Road in Elkhorn. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan. Memorials can be directed to Lakeland Animal Shelter. Special thanks to the staff at Vintage on the Ponds and St. Croix Hospice.
