Loren E. Kief, age 83 of Delavan, passed away surrounded by his family, Friday December 16, 2011 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg Wi.He was born December 17, 1927 in Rockford Il., the son of Lester and Edith (Pope) Kief. Loren married Jane Finley on December 30, 1950 in Wenona Il. and she preceded him in death February 23, 2005. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Loren was a Forrester for Wisconsin Electric for many years until his retirement. He was also a bartender for many area estabishments, including The Abbey Resort, White Oaks and the Playboy Club in Lake Geneva. Loren had a passion for all Wisconsin sports, following many teams like the Packers, Brewers, Badgers and the Bucks.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Kief of Madison. His sons, Michael (Lori) of Madison and Thomas (Kristen) of Kenosha. His grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob and Samuel who were the light of his life. 1 sister, Leora Larsen and 1 brother, Leland Kief. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jane.
