DELAVAN – Lorraine Garrett, age 96, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. She was born in Chicago Heights, IL on June 28, 1921 to Frank and Victoria (Filipowski) Gloss. Lorraine was united in marriage to John Garrett on May 5, 1949 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Chicago Heights, IL. John passed away on May 11, 2012. Lorraine was an avid bridge player for many years and was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.
Lorraine is survived by a daughter Denise Galleger, of Delavan; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Galleger, of Delavan, and Teri (Bill) Klewin, of Gurnee, IL; two great granddaughters, Amanda and Caitlyn Klewin; and many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; a daughter, Elise Garrett in 1985; nine siblings; and a son-in-law, LeRoy Galleger.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Burial will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Steger, IL at 2:30 P.M. on Friday.
