Mary A. Brotz, age 85 of Delavan, Wi., passed away Saturday June 23, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital in Janesville, Wi. She was born in July 10, 1926, in Naperville, Il., the daughter of Albert and Julia (Vermaat) Krummen. Mary married Norbert W. Brotz in 1952 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan. She was employed with Lakeview School in Whitewater as a Kitchen Aide for many years before becoming Director of the Whitewater School District Lunch Program. She was a long time member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Beth Hicks of West Allis Wi. Her sons; John (Kim) of Delavan Wi., Bruce (Norma) of Phillips Wi. and Jeff of Delavan, Wi. 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Her sister Millie Voller and her brother, Edward Krummen. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norbert, 1 sister, Julia Retzlaff, 2 brothers Albert and Lawrence.
Funeral Services will be 12:00pm Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, Wi. with Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating. Visitation will be 5:00pm to 7:30pm Tuesday evening at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, Wi. Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with School in Delavan.
