Nicholas George Konz, Sr. (96) of Delavan, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital, Lake Geneva on Saturday, September 21, 2019. He was born July 1, 1923 to George Konz and Marie (Becker) Konz in Chicago, Illinois.
He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Margaret Mary (nee Granahan) , 1 sister Marie, 8 children - Nicholas Jr. (Nancy), Kathleen (James) Wallace, Mary Ann Loenneke, Thomas (Peggy) Konz, Laura (Ronald) Teramani, Kelly Espejo, Tony (Steven) Schnur, Christopher (Dana) Konz, and one foster daughter, Teresita Nault, - 16 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great-Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, as well as his 3 of his sons (Joseph Edward, Daniel Matthew and James Michael) and an infant daughter (Peggy).
He served in the Army during World War II and was very proud of his military service as well as his 58 year membership in the American Legion. He was a machinist / tool and die maker by trade for his entire career. He loved to play Cribbage.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
