DELAVAN – Norma H. Goethal, age 92, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. She was born in Chicago, IL on January 6, 1923 to Carl and Louise (Kindt) Halle. Norma was united in marriage to Gordon Goethal. She taught piano, was active in the Boy Scouts, and belonged to the Delavan Lake Garden Club. Norma also was an active member at the Northfield Community Church, Delavan UCC, and Delavan Christian Reformed Church.
Norma is survived by her son, Greg (Maggie) Goethal, of Delavan; grandchildren, Jay (Colleen) Goethal, of Delavan, Doug (Jessica) Goethal, of Sydney Australia, and Halle and Sylvia (Dave) Minton, of Austin, TX; and great grandchildren, Brendan, Kyle, Katie, and Cooper. Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; a son, Kurt; and her parents.
A Private Celebration of Norma’s Life will be held at a later date. Memorials can be directed to the Delavan Lake Sailing School.
