DELAVAN - Norman Ross Gunderson age 89, of Delavan passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Delavan Health Services.
He was born Feb. 4, 1931. The son of Andrew Gunderson and Jennie Viola Fowler in Walworth county, Wisconsin. After finishing 8th grade, he took over running the family farm due to his father having health problems.
Norman married Catherine Williams Sept. 15, 1951 in Delavan, WI. together they had 3 children.
Throughout his life Norman worked at various jobs but his last would be the family farm which he loved. Sitting on his John Deere tractor doing field work was what he enjoyed most. Norman had the gift of gab and loved to tell a good joke or two.
Norman is survived by his daughters Marcie Laskey, MA, Norma (Jim) Gruett, WI. Six grandchildren Joe (Lindsey) Laskey, TX, Sam (Amanda) Laskey TX, Melissa Umland WI, Sean (Suzanne) Gruett WI, Adam Laskey MA, and Sabrina Gruett VA. and 9 great grandchildren Katelyn, Madison, Evan, Aubrey, Hailey, and Aiden Laskey, Mason, Breleigh, and Harper Gruett. A sister in law Elain Monteath WI. There are many nephews, nieces and friends.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents, his mother and father in law. Edbert and Ann (Schmidt) Williams, his wife of 61 years Catherine and his son Lawrence Gunderson. And a son in law Alan Laskey. His siblings and spouses Herbert (Alma) Gunderson, Goldie (August) Borkenhagen, Marion (Jonny) Gunderson, Catherine (David) Hanks, Lillian (Harald) Sweezy.
