Olga S. Salas, age 88 of Watertown, Wi., formerly of Delavan, Wi. passed away Sunday May 5, 2013 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, Wi. She was born on August 16, 1924, the daughter of Ricardo and Catalina (Pedroza) Santos. She was united in marriage to Santos Salas in 1954 in Dilley, Tx. He preceded her in death in 1977. Olga was a loving home maker and a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Delavan, Wi. Her life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her strong faith for her church. Anyone who entered her home was welcomed and made to feel like family. Olga is survived by her son John (Janet) Mata of Lake Mills, Wi. 6 daughters; Cecilia (Gerry) Schmidt of Delavan, Wi., Lupita Salas of Milwaukee, Wi., Genevieve (Steve) Gruel of Norcross, Ga., Hope (Don Olson) Salas of Green Bay, Wi. Teresa (Dale Eckardt) Salas of Oconomowoc, Wi. and Connie (Kevan Smith) Holcombe of Norcross, Ga. 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren also survive. 1 sister, Estella Cantu. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Santos, 1 daughter Margaret and her brothers and sisters.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00am Friday May 10, 2013 at St.Andrew's Catholic Church in Delavan, Wi. with Fr. Jim Schuerman officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time on Friday at the church. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva, Wi. A Memorial Service will also be held for Mrs. Salas, Saturday May 11, 2013 at 2:30pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 413 South 2nd St. in Watertown, Wi.
