Orville Boisvert

Delavan/ Orville Albert Boisvert, age 94 of Delavan, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Willowfield Nursing Home in Delavan. He was born February 6, 1916 in Stanley, WI the son of Ralph and Alice (Dangerfield) Boisvert. He married Ramona Resesk and she preceded him in death in 1979. He then married Dorothy Woodward and she preceded him in death as well. He was owner and operator of Standard Oil Distribution in Delavan and then was employed with B&R Amon Contractors from 1970 until his retirement. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Delavan. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII and was part of the Battle of the Bulge and the Invasion at Normandy. He was a member of the Delavan Legion Post #95 for 50 years.

He is survived by his 2 sons, Michael (Susan Erickson) Boisvert of Delavan and Steven Boisvert of New Mexico; also many grand and great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Evelyn Geist of Boyd, WI. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Ramona and second wife, Dorothy, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, May 17, 2010 at Monroe Funeral Home with Fr. Jim Schuerman officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am until time of service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Delavan with Full Military Honors. MONROE FUNERAL HOME, Delavan, is assisting the family.
