Pablo Casillas

DELAVAN – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of our father, Pablo S. Casillas on May 23, 2023.  He was surrounded by family as he peacefully slipped away and we are heartbroken to lose him. 

Born in Cotulla, TX on October 14, 1937 he was the son of Jose and Enedelia (Sobreville) Casillas where he lived his childhood life with his 10 brothers and 2 sisters.  He was married to Ramona (Rodriguez) Casillas on June 26, 1956; they shared 56 years of marriage.  Together they raised their family in Williams Bay, WI.  Pablo worked as a migrant worker and factory worker at United States Gypsum and General Motors.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, was a sports and Chicago Bears fan, enjoyed landscaping, and had a passion for cars. 

Pablo left behind a great legacy and is survived by his daughters, Josie (Brian) Schlueter, Rachael Lamb, Isabel (Nathan) Kluge, Patricia Fitzmaurice, Sandra (Curtis) Kirkpatrick, and Sonja Casillas; daughter-in-law, Vicki Casillas; 14 grandchildren, Shane Casillas, Chris Cannon, Ben Cannon, Daniel Casillas, Michael Schlueter, DezRae Cocroft, Ryan Rodriguez, Rami Rodriguez, Roxanne Rodriguez, Josh Fitzmaurice, Jeramia Kirkpatrick, Sinae Love, Issac Kirkpatrick, Gavin Grice, and Gabriela Grice; 27 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and a sister, Lupe Garcia.   

Pablo is preceded in death by his wife, Ramona; son, Jon; granddaughter, Amanda Fitzmaurice; brothers, Frank, Pedro, Juan, Jose, Luis, Rodolpho, Jesus, Ramon, and Neto; and a sister, Augustina.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:30 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Delavan American Legion.
