DELAVAN – Paul Vincent Hertz, age 69, of Delavan passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.  He was born on January 27, 1946 to William and Marie (Henrioulle) Hertz.  Paul was united in marriage to Dorothy Endl on August 28, 1965.  He worked at Sta-Rite for 36 years.

Paul enjoyed an active lifestyle which included stock car racing, bowling, golf, and softball.  Paul earned his black belt in Kyu Kido in 1992.  Paul shared his love of classic movies and big band music, and never passed up the opportunity to entertain his grandchildren with a silly song or sound effect.

As time passed, Paul and Dorothy spent a lot of time behind the wheel of his corvette road tripping with his best friends, or driving cross country to meet family for a weekend getaway or just a game of cards in some random hotel.

For nearly four decades, Paul was stricken with many health issues that proved his strength and courage, but never diminished his love for life.

Paul is survived by his wife and soulmate of 49 years, Dorothy; a daughter, Paula (Marlin) Hertz, of Delavan; three sons, Phil (Natalie) Roe, of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Jeff (Kim) Hertz, of Evansville, WI, and Bryan (Heather) Hertz, of Delavan; 10 grandchildren, Ashley (Dustin), Asia, Zephen, Jordan, Krysta, Kyle, Emily, Mason, Samara, and Kora; seven great grandchildren, Jozlynn, Alexis, Maddox, Uriah, Mia, Mason, and Mercedez; five brothers; and three sisters.    Paul is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and his best friend, Dan Flitcroft.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave with Deacon Phil Kilkenny officiating.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M on Sunday, August 2, 2015 and an hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
