CHICAGO/WILLAMS BAY – Raymond G. Kolasa, age 67, of Chicago/Williams Bay passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Mercy Walworth Hospital. He was born in Chicago on November 9, 1955 to Raymond S. and Adele (Zemaitis) Kolasa. Ray worked as a Paramedic for the Chicago Fire Department for 36 years before retirement on December 1, 2012 as Paramedic Field Chief. He was united in marriage to Deborah Fagel on September 3, 2005 in Miller, Nebraska. Ray was the drum major for the Chicago Fire Marching Band and was also active with the Boy Scouts for a number of years. Ray was a member of Lakeland Community Church.
Ray is survived by his wife, Deborah; two children, Rachel (James) Greve and Brian (Sarah) Kolasa; additional children, Martha (Gary) Titiner, Michelle (Vito) Ciaramellano, and Marcus (Courtney) Fagel; and seven grandchildren, Teagan, Sophia, Jameson, Liliana, Mila, Maxwell, and Milo.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Stephen.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva.
