DELAVAN – Raymond G. Ziemianin, age 81, of Delavan formerly of Chicago passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at his home in Delavan. He was born on August 19, 1934 to Joseph and Josephine (Wegrzyn) Ziemianin in Chicago. Ray was united in marriage to Geraldine Janik on September 7, 1957 in Chicago. Ray is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine; three children, Steven Ziemianin, of Trevor, WI, Wayne Ziemianin, of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, and Tracy O’Connor, of Delavan; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and siblings, Eugene Ziemianin, of Bensonville, IL, Joseph Ziemianin, of Mt. Prospect, IL, Richard (Barbara) Ziemianin, of Mt. Prospect, IL, Geraldine (Richard) Jurek, of Chicago, and Gregory Ziemianin, of Mt. Prospect, IL. Ray is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helen Larson.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. – 12:30 P.M. at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. on Wednesday. Burial will take place at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL on Thursday.
