Richard A. Nelson, age 42 of Elkhorn, passed away Tuesday January 11, 2011 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, Wi.. He was born May 11, 1968 in Chicago Il., the son of Stanley and Catherine (Sheridan) Nelson. Rick married Amy Kaldenberger June 1, 1991 at Calvary Community Church in Williams Bay. Along with his wife Amy, they owned and operated Midtown Auto in Elkhorn and Nelson's Corners Inn in Delavan. Rick attended Southern Lakes Evangelical Free church in Elkhorn. He was President of the Darien Sunset Riders.
He is survived by his wife Amy of Elkhorn; 1 daughter Samantha of Elkhorn; 2 sisters, Lauren of Lockport Il., and Kristine of Clearwater Fl.. 2 brothers, Michael of Chicago Il. and Steven (Marcie) of Winterset Iowa. Father and mother in law Jake and Sharon Kaldenberger of Elkhorn. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Friday January 14, 2011 at Southern Lakes Evangelical Free Church in Elkhorn with Rev. Sean Sweetman officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 Thursday at the church. Burial will be at St. Andrews Cemetery in Delavan Wi.. MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan is assisting the family. visit us at monroefh.com
