Robert B. Fleishman, age 88 of Williams Bay, Wi., passed away Friday February 18, 2011 at his home. He was born August 16, 1922 in Chicago Il., the son of Frank and Filomena (Janecek) Fleishman. Bob married Waunell Jones September 20, 1943. She preceded him on April of 1996. Bob was a self-employed custom builder in Oak Brook Il. where he resided for many years. He was a founding member of the Oak Brook Fire Department and a charter member of the Oak Brook Historical Society. He enjoyed hiking, cycling, kayaking and skiing in Wisconsin where he spent his retirement years. He was a U.S.Navy Veteran serving during W.W.II.
He is survived by 1 daughter; Judith (James) Fiandaca of Fl. and 1 son, Mark (Jill) Fleishman of Yorkville, Il. 3 grandchildren, Teresa Fiandaca, Valerie Fleishman and Jay (Casey) Fleishman. 1 great-grandchild, Landyn Fleishman. He was an inspiration to everyone he touched in respect of how to live and enjoy life to the fullest.
Memorial Services will be 4pm Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan Wi. Visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm prior to the service. Memorials may be made in Bob's honor to the Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy (Friends of Kishwauketoe...Box 580 Williams Bay Wi. 53191) MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan Wi. is assisting the family.
