WILLIAMS BAY – Robert J. Carlson, age 61, of Williams Bay passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. He was born in Illinois on November 29, 1959 to Olaf and Mary Lou Carlson. Robert was united in marriage to Joan Geiss on June 20, 1989 in Williams Bay. He was the Village Administrator and Treasure for Williams Bay for 33 years before retiring in 2016. Robert was a member of the United Church of Christ in Williams Bay and resided in Williams Bay most of his life. Robert graduated from Williams Bay High School and the University of Wisconsin Whitewater with a double major in Business and Finance. Robert attended Brewers games as a young boy and his love for the game of baseball was passed on to his two daughters. Robert had a passion for opera and was a board member for the Lake Geneva Lyric Opera of Chicago group for many years. Robert would have argued anyone who didn’t agree that the Godfather was the best movie ever made. Robert knew every Beatles and Elvis song ever produced and was the first to turn up the volume. He will be missed deeply and was loved fiercely.

Robert is survived by his wife, Joan, of Williams Bay; two children, Ashley Carlson, of Williams Bay, and Brittany Carlson, of Kenosha; three step children, Jennifer (Nick) Mehmke, of MT, Michael (Amanda) Moore, of Williams Bay, and John (Jackie) Moore, of Williams Bay; four grandchildren, Atti, Rosemary, Hazel, and Sage; and special friends, John and Michele Erikson, Mike and Chris Stratton, and Florence Jean Gould.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
