Monday, October 1st, 2012Robert L. Mullis, age 79 of Delavan, Wi. passed away Monday October 1, 2012 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, Wi. He was born February 23, 1933 in Wisconsin, the son of Fred and Hazel (Poulter) Mullis. Robert married Doris Green on April 18, 1952 in Sharon Wi. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2002. He worked in maintenance for all of his working career until his recent retirement. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1952 to 1956. During his time in the Navy, he was trained as a Deep Sea Diver. He was also a member of the I.A.M. Union.
He is survived by his twin daughters; Kathy (Carlos) Lemus of Crystal Lake Il. and Karen Brunner of Crystal lake Il. His sons; Art (Sue) Mullis of Sharon. Don (Crystal) Mullis of Janesville and Bob (Lynn) Mullis of Sharon. 12 Grandchildren and 11 Great-grandchildren. His sisters; Phyillis Jones and Helen Mullis. His brothers; Carl Mullis and Billy Mullis. Son-In-Law, Clarence Wegner. Also nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, wife Doris, daughter Vicky, brother Danny, a granddaughter, a grandson and 2 great-granddaughters.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Friday October 5, 2012 at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, Wi. with Rev. Mike Ida officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am to service time at 11:00am on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.
