DELAVAN – Ronald A. Szatkowski, age 83, of Delavan passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023 at home. He was born in Chicago on November 8, 1939 to Michael and Sally (Szopa) Szatkowski. Ronald was united in marriage to Laura Benson on June 1, 1968 in Carbondale, Illinois. He graduated in 1969 with his Masters in Theatre Arts from SIU. Ronald proudly served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. Ronald worked in Civil Service as a Theatre Director, retiring after 26 years in 1999. He had a great passion for theatre and also enjoyed fishing.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Laura; son, David Szatkowski of Nesbit, MS; sister, Cynthia McLain of Denver, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Robert and Richard Szatkowski.
