DELAVAN - Rosemary Genevieve Williams, 95, of Delavan, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Ridgestone Village in Delavan surrounded by her family. She was born March 3, 1920 in Burlington, to William and Rose (Schumann) Prasch.
She married Alvin W. Williams in 1945. He predeceased her July 28, 1973. She was also predeceased by her parents, sisters Lee Miller and Marcella Kempken, her son John (Jack) Williams and daughter Mary Lou Thompson.
Gen was an accountant at Sta-Rite Industries for over 25 years, retiring in 1989. She will always be remembered as a kind, loving, caring lady who enjoyed her family every day. Family members gave her the nickname “Guliver” because she loved to travel, which she did with her children, grandchildren, sisters and friends through the years.
Survivors include her children, daughter Dorothy Mitchell, Elkhorn; son Chuck ( Sandy Carlton), Delavan; daughter Sue (Gary) Williams-Ginner, Darien; daughter Jean (Ken) Miller, El Cajon, CA; grandchildren, Maria (Paul) Drolet, Shawn Mitchell, Alys (Andy) Adams, Paige (Steve) Sawar, Patty Salmon, Clint Ginner, Cyle (Kelly) Ginner, Stephanie Miller, Brian Miller; great-grandchildren Megan Adams, Cole Adams, Bryn Rohde, Kyler Rohde, Ryley Sawar, Dayne Sawar, Kennedy Ginner, Payton Ginner, Kali Ginner, Gertrude Ginner and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Sunday April 26th at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 am Monday April 27th at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan with Fr. Angel Anaya officiating.
Interment will follow in East Delavan Union Cemetery.
