DELAVAN – Samuel Frederick Berg, age 90, of Delavan passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa. He was born in Menominee, MI on January 8, 1925 to Frank and Marion (Rasmussen) Berg. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Samuel was united in marriage to Shirley Anglehart on August 25, 1949 in Marinette, WI. Shirley passed away on May 28, 2002. Samuel worked for Sta-Rite from 1956-1986 first as a Mechanical Engineer before becoming a Sales and Marketing Executive at Sta-Rite. Samuel is survived by a daughter, Karen (Paul) Barber, of Delavan; a son, Steven Berg, of Milwaukee; 5 grandchildren, Eric and Anna Barber, and Joseph, Andrew, and Laura Berg; 6 great grandchildren, Katlyn, Rebecca, Jillian, Isabella, Jesse, and Marleigh; a sister-in-law Mary Enstrom; and many nieces and nephews. Samuel is preceded in death by his wife Shirley; his parents; and a sister, Marion.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to the Aram Public Library in Delavan.
