DELAVAN - Tom “Tommy” Purcell, age 56, of Delavan, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 with loved ones around him. Tommy was born on July 10, 1967 in Niles, Illinois to James and Sharon (Panke) Purcell. Tommy is survived by his long-time love Lauri Purcell (Jachimowski), his daughter Paige Greco (Purcell), son-in-law Max Greco; mother Sharon Purcell; and siblings James (Jimmy) Purcell, Kathy Purcell, Patricia (Patty) Purcell.
Tommy’s main passion was his family – Lauri and Paige, which was evident by how he lived his life. Everything he did in life was to love, honor and protect them.
Tommy lived his life to the fullest every day, as he worked hard, he also played just as hard. At 14 years old Tommy’s first job was pumping gas because of his love for cars. In 1993 he and Lauri bought their first service station, and the rest is history with the tens of thousands of vehicles he has serviced and fixed throughout his life. Tommy also had a passion for music, with him playing drums in several bands, one being Kings Highway. His gift of drumming was renowned not only in Wisconsin, but he also played around the world. The sweetest and most heartfelt memory will be the last time Tommy played the drums, it was at his daughter and sons-in-law’s wedding in August 2023. Lastly, Tommy was known for his giving; he gave to his family, friends, individuals, and organizations. Tommy opened not only his heart, but his time, his talent, and treasure to all who asked. He loved to give to those in need and to also make the community he lived in better.
Tommy was one of a kind – loving, special, talented, and giving. He will be missed greatly by all. We ask that you come and Celebrate Tommy’s Life – on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 held from Noon – 4:00 P.M. at Greenies Clubhouse in the Pavilion, 700 S. 2nd Street in Delavan.
Note: Please feel free to bring with you any pictures you may have with you and Tommy, we will have a table to share those memories.
