Wayne E. Long, age 82 of Delavan, passed away Friday January 28, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 11, 1928, the son of Dal and Marie (Long) Ashburn. Wayne married Jeanette McDonough March 7, 1953 at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church. For many years Wayne was the Manager at Barker Lumber Company in Delavan. He service with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of Sugar Creek Lutheran Church and a member of American Legion Post 95 of Delavan.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette of Delavan; 3 daughters, Kathy (Mark) Schow of Joliet, Il; Terri (Ron) Bronson of Delavan and Kim (Jeff) Graske of Delavan. 3 sons, Jeff of Fl.; Randy (Michelle) of Madison and Tony (Isis) Farrell of Ca. 8 grandchildren, Stephanie, Brittany, Justin, Nick, Kyle, Kaela, Tony Jr. and Carrie. 3 great-grandchildren, Emma, Levi and Grayson. 2 sisters, Dalleen and Patty both of Ca.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm Tuesday February 1, 2011 at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church with Rev. Gerald Petersen officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 to service time at 1:00pm at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military honors conducted by American Legion Post 95 of Delavan. Memorials may be made to Sugar Creek Lutheran Church.
