DELAVAN – William “Bill” A. Bartz, age 83, of Delavan passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his home in Delavan. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 18, 1932 to Albert and Edith (Wise) Bartz. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Navy for over 24 years. Bill was united in marriage to Joanne Kemmer in San Diego in 1955. He was a member of Westfield Lions Club, Westfield White Trackers Snowmobile Club, and was involved with the Boy Scouts for over 25 years.
Bill is survived by his eight children, Steve Bartz, of Corona, CA, Bill (Cindy) Bartz, of Dover, OH, Sue (Terrence) Matienzo, of St. Louis, MO, Lisa (Pat) Smelik, of Raleigh, NC, Brian Bartz, of Raleigh, NC, Sandy (Hugh) McElroy, of Minneapolis, Mike Bartz, of Walworth, and Becky (Dan) Casper, of Wauconda, IL; 23 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.
Funeral Services will be held at NOON on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until NOON on Wednesday at the church. Burial will take place at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.
