Elodia nació en México el 23 de junio de 1941, hija de Victor y Audelia (Rodríguez) Bonilla. Vivió una vida muy feliz entre México y Estados Unidos. Su amor con Florentino Arredondo Moctezuma, que comenzó en 1959, dio fruto a 13 hijos, 36 nietos y 18 bisnietos.
Será recordada por el inmenso amor que tuvo hacia su familia, por su alegría al conversar con cualquier persona por horas, por su gran manera de ser, y por su disposición para ayudar siempre a quien lo necesitaba.
La precedieron en fallecimiento sus padres; su esposo, Florentino; y su hermano, Jesús.
La extrañarán profundamente sus hijos: Marisela, Marcos, Verónica, Carmen, Leticia, Martha, Fabiola, Fernando, Arturo, Gisela y Sandra, así como todos sus nietos, bisnietos, familiares y amigos que tanto la quisieron.
La misa en honor a Elodia Arredondo Bonilla se llevará a cabo el miércoles 22 de octubre de 2025, a las 12:30 p.m., en la Iglesia de San Andrés (714 E Walworth Ave, Delavan, WI).
El velorio se realizará desde las 11:00 a.m. hasta el inicio de la misa en la misma iglesia.
El entierro tendrá lugar en el cementerio de San Andrés en Delavan.
God decided to take "everyone's grandmother," Elodia Arredondo Bonilla, on Friday, October 17, 2025. Elodia was born in Mexico on June 23, 1941, to Victor and Audelia (Rodríguez) Bonilla. She lived a very happy life between Mexico and the United States. Her love for Florentino Arredondo Moctezuma, which began in 1959, produced 13 children, 36 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her immense love for her family, her joy in talking with anyone for hours, her great personality, and her willingness to always help anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Florentino; and her brother, Jesús.She will be deeply missed by her children: Marisela, Marcos, Veronica, Carmen, Leticia, Martha, Fabiola, Fernando, Arturo, Gisela, and Sandra, as well as all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends who loved her so much.
A Mass in honor of Elodia Arredondo Bonilla will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 12:30 p.m., at St. Andrew Church (714 E Walworth Ave, Delavan, WI).
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the beginning of Mass at the same church.
Burial will take place at St. Andrews Cemetery in Delavan.
