Bert Krueger, age 75, of Walworth, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at his home. He was born on September 2, 1951, to Wallace E. and Arlene Jo (Shebeck) Krueger. Bert was united in marriage to Kay Brown on August 26, 1978. Kay preceded him in death on August 30, 2025.
Bert was known for his incredible work ethic and his ability to fix nearly anything. He was always quick with a joke and ready to give the waitress a hard time. Bert truly enjoyed spending time on the family farm, tinkering with projects, and working on his beloved Oliver tractors. He instilled a “work before fun” mentality in his children and made sure everyone toed the line
Bert is survived by his children, Cheri Krueger, Robert (Stephaine) Krueger, and Joseph (Olivia Kovarik) Krueger; his goddaughter, Misty (Jason) Young; and his grandchildren, Gracie Mae, Triptin, Teelin, and Wyatt. He is also survived by his brothers Fred (Chris) Krueger, Larry (Terri) Krueger, and William (Kathy) Krueger; brothers-in-law, Frank Bovino and Terrance Brown; and sister-in-law, Shirley Brown; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother- and father-in-law; his sister, Ellen Bovino; and his brother-in-law, Milo Brown.
A celebration of life will be held on October 11th at the Darien Legion Hall (15 Market St Darien) starting at noon.
