STREAMWOOD, IL – Jay T. Jackson, age 63, of Streamwood, IL., formerly of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at home. He was born in Kenosha on April 1, 1958 to Charles Jr. and Mary (O’Brien) Jackson. Jay attended St. Mary’s Catholic school in Kenosha before graduating from St. Joseph’s High School in 1976. Jay attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Math from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. Jay ran the family business for many years before working for Abbott Laboratories. He retired from Siemens Healthcare in 2012. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan who followed basketball, baseball and enjoyed 70’s and 80’s music. He also loved to hunt, fish, camp and golf.
Jay is survived by his significant other, Annie Do; siblings, Jack (Ann) Jackson of Kenosha, Jill Jackson, of Delavan, and Jeri (Korry) Thorpe, of Sioux Falls, SD; nieces and nephews, Heather (Andrew) Loy, Paul Jackson, Derek Granitz, Mary Simmerman, Dale Thorpe and Jennifer Thorpe. Jay is also survived by five great nieces and nephews, Logan Zipp, Charlie and Callie Simmerman, and Evelyn and Audrey Loy.
Jay is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 18, 2021 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M until the time of the funeral on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Andrews Cemetery in Delavan. Memorials can be directed to your local chapter of the Heart, Lung and Blood Association.
