John R. Schuenke, age 55, passed away Tuesday October 11, 2011 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, Wi. as the result of a Stroke suffered on August 12, 2011. He was born on March 31, 1956 in Elkhorn Wi., the son of Earl and Ruth (Huisheere) Schuenke. John attended Lakeland School in Elkhorn. He was employed at the Abbey Resort in Fontana for 18 years, then at Onvoy Manufacturing in Walworth for 10 years. John married his beloved wife, Teri on February 14, 1997 in Delavan, Wi.
He leaves behind his wife Teri of Delavan; a step-son, Daniel Wentzel; a niece Paula Rucker; a nephew, Michael Thompson and many other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents in 1993 and 1994 and his sister Earlene in 1992. Also aunts and uncles preceded him.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Friday October 14, 2011 at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, Wi. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday October 13, 2011 at the funeral home.
