Judith L. McKinney, age 68, of Darien, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born on December 8, 1957, in Long Beach, CA, to Paul and Sandra (Rahberg) VanLaningham.
Judith worked for many years at Andes Candies in Delavan. She had a deep love for animals and found so much joy in their companionship. Her dogs and cats were more than pets—they were cherished members of her family. She also had a special love for horses and treasured the time she spent riding and being around them. Her gentle heart and love for all animals were a beautiful part of who she was, and that love will be remembered by everyone who knew her.
Judith is survived by her son, TC (Ellie) McKinney, of Delavan; her mother, Sandy VanLaningham, of Clinton; her sister, Ginger (Tony) Roccaforte, of Sharon; her niece, Melissa (Troy) Doely, of Janesville; and her great-nieces and great-nephews.
Judith was preceded in death by her father, Paul. She was also preceded in death by her beloved grandchildren, Blake Elise and Aubrey Lou, who were born too soon. Their lives were brief, but their place in our family and the love we have for them will last forever.
