Kevin F. Watts

DELAVAN - Kevin F. Watts, age 71, of Delavan, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Kevin was born on June 14, 1955, in Elkhorn to James and Janice (McSorley) Watts. He graduated from Delavan-Darien High School and spent many years working as an electrical contractor. He owned Advance Electric in Delavan and was always ready to build something or fix what needed fixing.

Kevin was incredibly kind and loving. If someone needed help with anything, he would go out of his way to lend a hand. He was generous with his time and skills, and someone his family and friends could count on. Kevin could be quiet, but he always had a great one-liner ready. He loved Monty Python and loved to tease his sisters. Though he could be reserved with family, he could also talk at length with someone he had just met.

Kevin enjoyed woodworking, fixing things around the house, and taking drives. He loved fishing and camping on the Mississippi River sandbars, where he would make breakfast for the family. He also made regular trips to Menards, sometimes simply to walk around and brainstorm new projects for his family and friends. On weekends, Kevin could often be found cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Packers or sitting around a campfire reminiscing about old roads, farms, and neighbors. His family joked that he knew every road and who lived on every farm.

More than anything, Kevin loved spending time with his family, especially being Papa to his three incredible grandchildren. The drives, fishing trips, camping mornings, stories, and laughter they shared will remain part of the memories they carry with them forever.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, June Barnard; his children, Tiffany Buell of St. Francis, Wisconsin, and Brian (Alecia) Watts of Chicago, Illinois, whom he shared with Theresa Watts; and his grandchildren, Keira and Hannah Buell and Brady Watts. He is also survived by his siblings, Pat Watts and Kathy Krase, both of Williams Bay, Wisconsin; Bob (Lori) Watts of Greendale, Wisconsin; and Suzanne (Jim) Scibek of Oak Park, Illinois; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. His loving dog, Molly, will miss his cuddles and companionship.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, James and Janice (McSorley) Watts.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Kevin’s legacy lives on in the family he loved, the things he built, the people he helped, the stories he shared, and the laughter he leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the June D. Barnard Scholarship Fund at Curiosity 2 Create https://curiosity2create.org/donate/  or to Habitat for Humanity in Walworth County https://habitatwalworth.org/donate/.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday November 22, 2026 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Lake Como Beach House, W3730 Club House Dr., Lake Geneva, WI 53147
