DELAVAN – Melvin L. Halverson, age 87, of Delavan passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center in Summit. He was born in Arland, WI on October 15, 1928 to Charles and Thora (Thomson) Halverson. Melvin was united in marriage to Anna Bauer in Cumberland WI in 1949. They farmed in the Arland area for many years. Melvin then worked for the Chicago Archdiocese Cemeteries before finishing his career as a metal finisher at Elkhorn Metal Finishing.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Anna; two daughters, Darlene (Michael) Martyka, of IL; Eilene Luebker, of Richmond, WI; a son, Randy Halverson, of Richmond, WI; one sister, Junice (Frank) Wendlandt, of Spooner, WI; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Betty and Rosie; and four brothers, Lloyd, Harvey, Gordon, and Clarence.
