DELAVAN - Randall S. Martin, age 71, of Delavan, passed away on Friday, September 13 at Mercy Walworth Hospital and Medical Center, after a courageous battle with a late-onset genetic disorder called CANVAS. He was born on March 23, 1953 in Elkhorn, WI to Robert and Olive (Moyer) Martin. He graduated from Williams Bay High School in 1971. Randy married Rebecca Halverson in 1977. He worked for Gander Mountain in Wilmot, WI, as a senior buyer for 20 years. He was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish. He was a long-time member of Pheasants Forever. He later became a broker and real estate agent for Century 21 and Shorewest Realtors. He was an outstanding realtor for Walworth County and people could always point him out with the license plate "Our Realtor". On June 20, 2015, he married Amy Hiemstra in Delavan, Wisconsin. Randy could make anyone laugh, crack jokes, and play pranks on friends throughout his whole life. Randy would give the shirt off his back to help others in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 9 years, Amy; children: Monica Martin (Williams Bay, WI), Olivia (Lars) Bergersen (Williams Bay, WI), and Matthew Martin, (Mountain Home, ID). Three grandchildren: Makayla, Maddy, and Lorelei Bergersen; a brother, Bill; and dog, Storm. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 8:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Walworth County Pheasants Forever; in the check note please specify (Randy Martin Memorial).
