WHITEWATER – Loving father and husband, Raymond H. Wood, Jr., age 84, of Whitewater passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Agrace Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in Janesville. His wife, Beverly, and two daughters were at his side as he passed and went to the great golf course in the sky. He was born in Middleborough Massachusetts on July 11, 1931 where he grew up as the middle child of brothers Bob (Gwen) Wood and Charles Wood. Ray is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts. In addition to his family, he loved to golf, sail and meander.
Ray is survived by his wife of 30 years, Beverly, of Whitewater. Beverly and Ray began their adventures in Schaumburg Illinois and then made their summer home in Egg Harbor, WI and their winter home in The Villages, Florida where they enjoyed many friends. Family will miss him. Susan Wood (Greg) Senior; Catherine Templeton Cerny; Martin (Kathy) Templeton and his grandchildren Kristyn and Kendall Senior; Jonathan (Nerissa) and Elizabeth Cerny; Sarah, Amanda and Jessica Templeton. Great-grandchild Lucas Templeton. Ray is preceded in death by his father Raymond H Wood Sr. and his mother Ernestine (Brigham) Wood and Rose Wood (sister in law).
Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan, WI. A Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service on Saturday at the Funeral Home.
