DELAVAN – Thomas E. Rock, age 74, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at his home in Delavan. He was born in Bloomer, WI on January 25, 1944 to Norman and Eva (Biladeau) Rock. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Nancy Phetteplace on November 27, 1965 in Bloomer. Tom was a manager at RIC Finance, and bartender at Playboy Club in Lake Geneva. He and Nancy owned the Rock Inn on Delavan Lake, Walworth County Specialized Transportation, Cab-Care Transportation, Delavan Taxi, and Lakes Area Taxi. Tom belonged to the Harvard Moose Lodge, Delavan American Legion Post 95, Delavan VFW, and he was also an EMT in Delavan.
Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nancy; two sons, Sheldon D. Rock, of Delavan, and David S. (Kristin) Rock, of Janesville; two sisters, Patricia Iverson, of Drummond, WI, and Kathleen (George) Drier, of Ft. Myers, FL; a brother, Michael (Linda) Rock of Mt. Horeb, WI; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
