DELAVAN – Vincent E. Panka, Jr. age 95, of Delavan was called by the Lord to Eternal Life and reunited with the love of his life, Agnes (Liempeck) Panka on Friday, July 1, 2016. He was a devoted husband to his wife Agnes for 72 years and heartbroken with her passing on March 11, 2016. Vince was born in Jennings, Wisconsin on July 21, 1920. He was a resident of Delavan (Westshire Farms) for 16 years and had lived in West Allis, New Berlin, and Post Lake, WI prior to moving to Delavan. Vince proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force European Theater during WWII, serving as a radiator repairman at Orly Air Base, France. Through the years he had worked at Kerney & Trecker and Gary Machine Tool Company in Milwaukee, later establishing and operating in 1954 Panka Bulldozing Service in New Berlin, WI along with his sons. Vince was a proud member of Operating Engineers Local 139. He was so proud of obtaining his private airplane license at the age of 50 and was thrilled to fly family and friends in Cessna aircraft out of Waukesha Airport, recounting those flight stories for the next 40 years.

Vince is survived by his three children, Daniel (Pamela) Panka, of West Allis, Gary (Karen) Panka, of Dousman, and Cathy (Thomas) Luczkowiak, of Paddock Lake; six grandchildren, Renee (Jim Miller) Panka, Mark Panka, Tiffany (Lucas) Lemaster, Nicholas Panka, Matthew (Jennifer) Luczkowiak, and Lindsay Luczkowiak; 10 great grandchildren, Katie (Thomas) Lima, Carrie Heath, Eric Heath, Jake (Kayla Benson) Panka, Dalton Panka, Anna Lemaster, Elise Lemaster, Reece Luczkowiak, Silas Luczkowiak, and Sofia Luczkowiak; two great-great grandchildren, Ellegra Panka and Skylin Panka; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

Vince is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes; his parents, Helen (Swomia) Panka and Vincent Panka; brother, Jerome Panka; sister, Irene (James) Paul; and numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva. The family would like to thank Ulziibayar David Davaajav for his devoted, thoughtful care of Vince in his final days; Greg Kryca from Home Care Services; Kay Tomaczewski, Amber, Deb, Jennifer and the entire Aurora at Home Hospice team; Dr. Fehling and Dr. Stueve; and the Lakeland Inpatient Rehab Team and Lakeland Healthcare Center Staff for their loving kindness over the past 4 months. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Vince’s family.
